While the whole Europe struggles with migration crisis this Danish village has a completely different and intimate approach towards the issue. Local fishermen whose major occupation is working on the fishing farm and the leisure is drinking are ‘ordering’ the wives from the Philippines. So does the protagonist Ulrik, shy and reserved old widower, much to the surprise for his two sons. His younger son Johannes is now forced to help his father with translation. Accidentally, he becomes the main counterpart to his father in the race for the heart of the Phillipino girl.
