The 6th edition of “Northern Lights” Nordic-Baltic Film Festival which was supposed to be held on April 23-30 is rescheduled to autumn due to the current situation with COVID-19 virus in the world. The team of “Northern Lights” stays at home and keeps preparing the festival remotely. Please, stay at home and be responsible.
It’s hard to say when exactly the 6th “Northern Lights” will take place in autumn, we predict it might happen either in September or October 2020. We believe we could announce new dates of the festival in late April once the COVID-19 situation will be more stable, as estimated by specialists.
In the meanwhile preparations for 6th Northern Lights FF are going on remotely. We express our solidarity with all film festivals that had to cancel, postpone or go online due to the situation with coronavirus. We are also very grateful to our partners for support and understanding. We are asking all international and Belarusian filmmakers whose films were selected to be a part of 6th Northern Lights FF not to worry: all the screenings and all the events will take place as planned.
We are shocked how relevant our 2020 motto - LISTEN AND HEAR - is to the current situation in the world. It happened to be even foreseeing. It’s crucial to listen and hear each other now more than ever, consolidate and support each other.
The program of Northern Lights 2020 will be announced soon after we announce new dates of the festival. Certain activities might go online. In order to be updated, please follow the news on our website and on our pages in Facebook and Instagram.
